Zotac 9800GTX+ AMP Edition

Not being able to think of a better sentence, I think nVidia shit in their pants when AMD released the 4850 at the price they did. The performance of AMD’s little card certainly raised the standard for a medium-end card and nVidia swiftly reacted by announcing the 9800 GTX+ GPU which is, simply put, a die-shrunked and overclocked version of the 9800 GTX. This 55nm GPU runs at stock speeds of 738MHz for the core and 1836MHz for shaders.

Re: Zotac 9800GTX+ AMP Edition

pfft... another failure by nvidia... not worth the price... a sapphire hd 4850 will be around 850 dhs and waaaay cheaper... and one thing i noticed tho was that wen u turn on AA this cards performance drops significantly whereas the HD 4850 takes the lead from here... and wid HD 4850s built in hardware decoder and onbaord 5.1 audio over HDMI i would never go for the 9800GTX+ ad long as this baby is there....

Re: Zotac 9800GTX+ AMP Edition

weird part that it uses dual slot and dual power to power this up and it can’t compete properly with 4850, in my opinion to make this card successful is to make it single card slot with single power and price should be around 600 Dhs, that will make it better for price per performance which AMD is having the lead because of it not to forget that ATI have a really good flexibility with crossfireX , eng you can mix cards like 4870 X2 and 4870 card which nvidia does not allows it.

Tonight ill post he Catalyst 8.8 Driver analysis results :D
