Sharjah Launches Crackdown for God of War

The 18+ game is still widely available even after banned.
Sharjah Municipality are cracking their whips and sharpening their blades as they have launched a
crackdown against Sony’s highly successful, gore-fest action game God of War. But the game is already banned, you say? Yes! But who are to stop the mighty pirates? Arrr!
Apparently, the municipality received several complaints from residents who were ‘shocked’ to find pirated copies of God of War for Dh 5 to Dhs 10 in small game and sports shop in places including Central Souq (a.k.a Blue Souq), Al Rolla and Nuammiya in Sharjah.
"I knew that it was banned, but many of my friends were able to buy pirated copies from Dh5 to Dh10. I was shocked to see how much it contradicted Islamic values," said Khalid Bin Deemas, adding that it was dangerous as the video game was popular among children.
Contradicts Islamic values, you ask? But of course! It has the protagonist kill gods based on ‘Greek’ mythology, contains nudity and a sex mini-game which will make you laugh more than get you excited. And I am not sure if my sarcasm has come through (probably hasn’t…*sigh*).
In this hypocritical situation of banning a video game for content which hardly goes against any religious beliefs and social norms and is widely available via other mediums such as television, music videos and movies to underage children who may not even have to go to a shop to purchase such content. At least the game is clearly marked with an 18+ rating. Poor parenting should not be an excuse.
Oh and...just don't tell Kratos, yea?
