Sony\'s PS3 racks up biggest weekly sales since launch!
Sony's Playstation 3 selling well in Japan should come as a no brainer. It's Japanese, after all. And we all know how furiously 'local' they are when it comes to entertainment. Ask Microsoft! But managing to sell well over 150K units in 3 days is no mousey feat.
Famitsu publisher Enterbrain
reports that the PS3 has recorded its biggest weekly sales in Japan since the launch in November 2006, selling 150,832 units from August 31 to September 6, out of which the newly designed PS3 Slim sold a whopping 150,252 units since it launched three days ago!
This comes after sales plummeted 65% on the week ending August 24th were the PS3 only managed to move 3,295 units. Obviously, the crowd were holding out for the price cut and the slimmer version of their favorite console!
