Mirror’s Edge 2 in the Works

Mirror’s Edge was lauded for its unique style and first person parkour game play mechanics. Although the game was frustrating in parts and had clunky combat controls, the game was critically appreciated and had sold pretty well, too. The success of the first game has surely inspired EA and DICE as they are already working on the sequel.

Patrick Soderlund, senior vice president at EA Games Europe, said that a small team is already working on the sequel and they are “excited about” it. ““Mirror’s Edge was a risky move. It was a bold move, a very innovative and inspiring move. The game wasn’t perfect by any means. We would have liked the game to sell better even though the game has sold better than most people think.

“You will see another Mirror’s Edge for sure. It’s just a matter of when that time is and what we do with it. We have a small team on it and I’m excited about what we do.” 

Just, please EA, more stealth, less combat, please.
